Window Shopping Wednesday – Paper Source (2014)

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Window Shopping Wednesday but my latest Paper Source catalog came in the mail and I just couldn’t resist. There are a few items I’d really like to have and I considered purchasing them myself but maybe I’ll get lucky and someone (ahem, mom? husband? Are you paying attention??) will get them for me for my birthday or Christmas. A girl can hope!

I love these Kate Spade Bow Paper Clips. Aren’t they just so snazzy???

What about these fabulous Ceramic Bowls (1, 2, 3)? Wouldn’t they be just the greatest addition to a spring tablescape?? I think #2 (the Orange Floral Ceramic Bowl) is my favorite but I love that you can mix and match them all together.  You’d need at least 2 of each though.

Window Shopping Wednesday – Spoonflower (and a GIVEAWAY!!)

Hi all!  So have you heard of Spoonflower??  Honestly I never had until one of my favorite blogs, Young House Love, featured them HERE.  I love the idea of being able to custom create your own fabric and I especially love it for the way the Petersik’s have used it… creating fabric from their kiddo’s own drawings.  Can you imagine making a quilt out of that someday (or, more realistically, paying someone to make a quilt out of that someday)?  Your kids passing it on to their kids and so forth and so on???  How incredible would that be?

They have all kinds of fabric options – Quilting Weight Cotton, Basic Cotton, Voile, Jersey, Canvas, Sateen, Silk, Twill…the list goes on and on!!!  Even better – they’ve branched out now and even offer Wallpaper and Gift Wrap!!!  You can view an entire list of all of the options here.

Not creative or don’t have kiddos to draw some art for you?  No worries!  They have tons of other peoples creative ideas that you can purchase as well (and they’re pretty darn awesome if I do say so myself).  Go shopping with me!!

Mermaids and Paper Boats

I think this Mermaids and Paper Boats fabric is just adorable.  I love that it’s girly without being all pink-and-sparkles-exploded-everywhere type of girly.

Urban Dragonfly

This Urban Dragonfly fabric would be great in a quilt.

Christmas with Love

I know it’s only February but Christmas is my favorite holiday so you know that this Christmas With Love fabric caught my eye!

Star Constellation

Wouldn’t this Star Constellation wallpaper totally rock if you put it on the ceiling of a kids room?

graphic fall leaves

This Graphic Fall Leaves giftwrap would look absolutely amazing with metallic ribbon.

Cute baby dragon

I know several of my friends kids (and, ok, several of my adult friends too) who would squeal with joy if they received a present wrapped in this Cute Baby Dragon giftwrap.

Retro ski fox and grizzly bear

And last but not least one more Christmas themed item… this Retro Ski Fox and Grizzly Bear giftwrap.  Eek!  So cute!

Okay okay, now that I’ve shown you a few of the wonderful items that Spoonflower has to offer let’s get down to the part I know you’re all waiting for… the GIVEAWAY!!!

What do you get if you win?? A credit for one yard of custom printed Kona cotton fabric!!  That means you can order one yard and get it for $0 or you could order 60 yards and get one free.  Your choice!!  🙂

How do you win??

So here’s the deal – leave a comment below (scroll to the bottom where it says “Leave a Reply”)… when you do so, there’s a place to leave your email address (don’t worry, no one can see that but me) – make sure you do so or else I won’t be able to contact you if you’re the winner and tell you how to claim your prize.  On Wednesday, March 5th I’ll use to choose a winner.  Entries close Tuesday, March 4th at midnight Entry date has been extended!  Entries close Tuesday, March 18th at 11:59pm so don’t dally!

Disclaimer:  I was not in any way compensated for this post.  I just think that the items that Spoonflower has to offer rock.

This weeks featured shop: Wisteria (furniture only)

I am truly, madly, deeply in love with this French Country Dining Table.  It comes with FIVE leaves and can be small enough for a family of four or extended out to encompass your extended family and then some!  We have a huge family and this table would be absolutely PERFECT!

French Country Dining Table with Leaves

This Colonial Column Side Table is so much fun.  I love the cheery teal color (although it comes in other colors if you’re not a fan).  This would be perfect in a bathroom or as a side table by a reading chair.

Colonial Column Side Table

How cute are these Nature Nesting Tables?  I love the texture that the wood adds to the room and the space they take up is minimal.  Great for a small spot!

Nature's Nesting Tables

This Mid-Century Modern Console Table has fabulous sleek lines.  I think this would look lovely in any entry way.

Mid-Century Modern Console Table - Black

Sexy.  That’s the word that comes to mind when I see this Spanish Travertine-Top Coffee Table.  I just adore the turned legs, the black and white color scheme, and the travertine top.  What a wonderfully thought out piece.

Have kids?  This Time Out Timer Stool might be just the thing you need.  I don’t have kids and I still think it’s funny.

Window Shopping Wednesday – Honey be Good

Holy moley my loves!  I ran across this shop the other day and OMG!!!  Talk about some cuuuuute fabrics!  Eek!  Plus, they’re good for you and the environment.  Check it out…

All of the cotton fabric in our shop is certified organic by either The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) or the Organic Exchange. Look for the ‘Growth and Production’ tab on the fabric detail page for information on the certifying entity.

We also carry hemp blends. Hemp is naturally pest-resistant, uses less water than cotton and is generally considered a sustainable crop not needing certification. Our solid color hemp fabric is a hemp/lyocel blend. The hand screen-printed textiles are on a hemp/GOTS organic cotton base cloth.

This weeks featured shop:  Honey Be Good

This Modern Home Fat Quarter Bundle … oh… what can I say about it?  Uhh, I’m in love with the llamas?  So stinking adorable.  This would make a to die for quilt.

Modern Home Fat Quarter Bundle

I {heart} these Banksia Trees!  Can’t you just imagine a pillow made with this fabric?

Banksia Bloom - Banksia Trees

This print is called Chick Chick by Nancy Mims and if you look reeeaaaal close you’ll notice that the redish color is actually hens standing on top of eggs.  Cheeky!  For some reason I’d really like to put this fabric on something in our screened patio.

Chick Chick by Nancy Mims

This print is called Harmony Art Sateen – 10 Flowers and I can totally see this in a little girls room somewhere… perhaps as a line of fabric on the bottom of a solid white quilt?  So sweet.

Harmony Art Sateen - 10 Flowers

My MIL is going through a bit of a bird phase and I’m sure she’d love this Little Blue Birds print by Havana.  This would be really cute as a seat cover on a screened in patio chair.

Havana - Little Blue Birds

When I saw this fabric I thought “how mod!” which is funny considering it’s called MicroMod – Tick Tock White.  To add a bit of glitz, I would sew clear sequins onto the small white dots in the center.

MicroMod - Tick Tock White

I think this New Leaf – Festoon fabric would make an adorable skirt for the spring, especially if topped with a cardigan set.

New Leaf - Festoon

Have a little one in your life?  This Nursery Flannel – Ele-fête! might just be the perfect thing!

Window Shopping Wednesday – Bella Cupcake Couture

Well, spring is in the air and I don’t know about you but it definitely makes me want to get together with friends and spend some time outside in the gorgeous weather.  And, of course, spring is quickly followed by summer in this part of the world and summer means weddings so there will be lots of bridal showers coming up.  Oh, and I have pregnant friends so there are baby showers in the work too, plus birthdays and all sorts of other fun parties.  All in all, it means lots of special occasions and if you’re me, that means lots of reasons to cook for friends.  I love bringing homemade goodies to get togethers and if I can make them beautiful, then that’s even better!  So that’s why today we’re checking out Bella Cupcake Couture.

This weeks featured shop:  Bella Cupcake Couture

Window Shopping Wednesday – West Elm (Furniture only)

I love spring.  I love decorating for spring.  I want my house to be finished so that I can decorate for spring.  Lots of wishful thinking going on around here, haha.  I’ve been eyeing some goodies from West Elm for a while now and I dedcided to do a Window Shopping Wednesday tour of West Elm for the next few weeks just like I did with Z Gallerie a while back.  Ready to get this party started?

This weeks featured shop:  West Elm Furniture

I’m kinda loving this Oliver Chair.  I even love this tropical print although if you’re not digging it, it also comes in several other (tamer) fabrics.

This Carved Wood Side Table would make a great addition to any room.  It’s neutral enough to go practically anywhere and it’s slightly Moroccan look adds an international flair!

Carved Wood Side Table

In case you’ve been living under a rock let me clue you in… the industrial look is all the rage right now.  What I love most about it is that it looks good AND it’s functional.  What a concept!  This rolling cart (which comes in several different sizes) is a great looking storage option.  I can just see this in a kitchen loaded down with labeled glass jars showcasing items like flour, sugar, rice, etc.

Design Workshop Rolling Carts

Bone inlay + a herringbone pattern… COME TO MAMA!  This wall mirror would look exquisite if you had two side-by-side over a long bathroom vanity.  Oooo!  I want!!

This wood-tiled dresser just screams ‘nursery’ to me.  It could be used for a boy or girl and then be used later on down the line once they’re all grown up.

Window Shopping Wednesday – Golden Future

Like a lot of women, I love jewelry.  I think that the right accessories can either make or break your outfit.  That’s why I fell for this shop the moment I saw it.  I always have a hard time finding the right jewelry for a more casual weekend outfit and these goodies are just perfect.  I even adore the layered effect!  The owner and maker of these lovely creations is Yilan and keep in mind that all bracelets can be customized by changing the color and length of the bracelets.

This weeks featured shop:  Golden Future

Are you a bike enthusiast?  I have a few good friends who are and I think they’d love this Bike Bracelet set!

This cross bracelet has the ability to work for a guy or a girl depending on the color of the bracelet that you choose.  I think this would be a great gift for a kid who is being baptized, going through confirmation or just in need of a daily reminder.

Window Shopping Wednesday – Bookends

If you know me at all then you know that I love to read.  I have a ridiculous amount of books… like I need a library sort of books.  I’m actually reaching the point where my books need to overflow into other areas of our home other than my office.  So, I’m on the search for a few fun bookends.  Here’s what I’ve found so far…

These little elephant cuties are by Jonathan Adler.

Jonathan Adler Elephant Bookends

I love the quirky humor of these duck tape ones.

Duck Tape Bookends

I have no idea why I like this set, but I do.  Maybe they’d work in my husbands office?

Deer Head with Large Antlers Bookends

Again with the quirk… I’m a fan of this mouse on cheese bookend.

Mouse on Cheese Bookends

So this set isn’t “me” at all, but it has my husband written all over it.  Anything with dragons pretty much does it for him.

Dragon & Knight Metal Art Bookends

These license plate bookends are fun and I happen to have old license plates lying around so I might just give these a shot.

If you have a child, or if you’re a child at heart you’ll love these Mario bookends.

Mario bookend

What I really want for downstairs in our living room is some agate bookends.  They come in a variety of colors.  I prefer the white/brown natural tones but I think ones like this one are pretty too.

Agate Bookends – Teal

My favorite, not to mention a way to kill two birds with one stone, would be these fish bowl bookends.  (I really want fish in our house too, but with our new additions, we’re waiting on that for the time being.)

Do you guys use bookends in your house?  What’s your favorite place to shop for them?
