Fab Feature – The Lettered Cottage

You guys know that I love to incorporate a sense of whimsy into my life and home. When I saw this absolutely incredible powder bath makeover from The Lettered Cottage I knew that I might have found my whimsical home décor soul mate in Layla. I am dying over that bird wallpaper!

I love what she did with this basic builder and oh-so-brown bathroom. Man I cannot wait to own a home of my own so that I can *hopefully* make it as fabulous as this!

Window Shopping Wednesday – Wisteria (Furniture only)

Ready to do some shopping?  Let’s do this thing!

This weeks featured shop: Wisteria (furniture only)

I am truly, madly, deeply in love with this French Country Dining Table.  It comes with FIVE leaves and can be small enough for a family of four or extended out to encompass your extended family and then some!  We have a huge family and this table would be absolutely PERFECT!

This Colonial Column Side Table is so much fun.  I love the cheery teal color (although it comes in other colors if you’re not a fan).  This would be perfect in a bathroom or as a side table by a reading chair.

How cute are these Nature Nesting Tables?  I love the texture that the wood adds to the room and the space they take up is minimal.  Great for a small spot!

This Mid-Century Modern Console Table has fabulous sleek lines.  I think this would look lovely in any entry way.

Sexy.  That’s the word that comes to mind when I see this Spanish Travertine-Top Coffee Table.  I just adore the turned legs, the black and white color scheme, and the travertine top.  What a wonderfully thought out piece.

Have kids?  This Time Out Timer Stool might be just the thing you need.  I don’t have kids and I still think it’s funny.

If you’ve got some dough and are really looking for a statement piece you’ll find it in this Moorish Bone Bench.  Talk about exquisite!

The Kilim Bench in Anatole would add a fun pop of color and pattern to any room.

This Versailles Chest of Drawers is so feminine and dainty.  I love the bowed legs and the white detailing.  So pretty!

I love the classic look of this properly named Classical Bookcase.  It would be fantastic for showing off display pieces, storing china in your dining room, or actually working as a bookcase.

Oh my.  My oh my!  This Reclaimed Pine Bookcase needs to come live in my kitchen.  What wonderful storage and display space wrapped up in such a fine package.

If you like the more industrial look, this Handy Basket Shelf might be right up your alley.  Really snazzy.

Window Shopping Wednesday

Alright my friends… we’re continuing on with our trip through West Elm.  If you remember, last week we looked at their furniture and this week we’re going to look at linens.

This weeks featured shop:  West Elm Bedding, Rugs, Curtains and Bath Linens

They offer this pintuck duvet cover in several colors but this one (slate) is my favorite (although I do love the color ‘sea’ as well).

Organic Cotton Pintuck Duvet Cover + Shams - Slate

This ikat set would look fantastic in a teenage girls room.

Organic Winter Ikat Duvet Cover

This striped duvet cover screams ‘bachelor’ to me – but in a well dressed, swanky sort of way.

Rivulet Stripe Duvet Cover + Shams

I think this sort of southwestern look is coming back, and I have to say… I kinda like it… which I find strange because it’s not really ‘my look’ at all.

Kew Wool Dhurrie

I don’t know if it is or not but this rug just looks so soft and plush.  The pattern rocks too.

Rif Wool Rug

This line of curtains is called ‘luxe’ and I have to say… they definitely live up to their name.

Luxe Window Panel – Ivory

I love the woodgrain texture of these towels.  It’s a great way to add a bit of detailing in a usually overlooked area of the bathroom.

Organic Woodgrain Towel

These hand towels just make me smile and think of a lake or beach house.  I love that they’re monogramable too.

Window Shopping Wednesday – West Elm (Furniture only)

I love spring.  I love decorating for spring.  I want my house to be finished so that I can decorate for spring.  Lots of wishful thinking going on around here, haha.  I’ve been eyeing some goodies from West Elm for a while now and I dedcided to do a Window Shopping Wednesday tour of West Elm for the next few weeks just like I did with Z Gallerie a while back.  Ready to get this party started?

This weeks featured shop:  West Elm Furniture

I’m kinda loving this Oliver Chair.  I even love this tropical print although if you’re not digging it, it also comes in several other (tamer) fabrics.

This Sutton Sofette is the perfect size for small apartment or even for the end of the bed if you have a really large bedroom.  Those clean lines are just yummy.

This Carved Wood Side Table would make a great addition to any room.  It’s neutral enough to go practically anywhere and it’s slightly Moroccan look adds an international flair!

Carved Wood Side Table

In case you’ve been living under a rock let me clue you in… the industrial look is all the rage right now.  What I love most about it is that it looks good AND it’s functional.  What a concept!  This rolling cart (which comes in several different sizes) is a great looking storage option.  I can just see this in a kitchen loaded down with labeled glass jars showcasing items like flour, sugar, rice, etc.

Bone inlay + a herringbone pattern… COME TO MAMA!  This wall mirror would look exquisite if you had two side-by-side over a long bathroom vanity.  Oooo!  I want!!

Parsons Wall Mirror - Bone Inlay

These dining chairs are so posh.  I think they could glam up any space in no time.  Don’t you just love them?

Willoughby Dining Chair

This wood-tiled dresser just screams ‘nursery’ to me.  It could be used for a boy or girl and then be used later on down the line once they’re all grown up.

Window Shopping Wednesday – Tasha McKelvey Handmade Clay Goodness

Hi friends.  So are you guys enjoying my Window Shopping Wednesday posts?  I’m only asking because I want to know if I should continue with them in 2013.  Let me know!

This weeks featured shop:  Tasha McKelvey Handmade Clay Goodness

This is the product that first attracted me to Tasha’s talent.  It’s called the Love Birds Bowl.  It comes in a variety of sizes and colors and I just think this would be so sweet as part of a wedding present (I’d fill it with edible goodies of some kind).

These Aqua Leaf Bobby Pins are fantastic – just enough classy + quirk for my taste.

I think this Wood Grain Tray (comes in several colors) would be really adorable in a bathroom as a place to put your rings while you wash your hands.  AND since it’s wood grain, I don’t even think many men out there would be sad to see this in their bathrooms.

These Feather Earrings are so versatile that you could easily dress them up or down.  I wear a lot of cardigan sets in the winter and I think these would be the perfect touch to go with them.  They come in several colors, but my favorite is white.

If you like to give beautifully crafted ornaments to your friends and family for Christmas you really should consider this Santa Claus Ornament.  What a beauty.
