Window Shopping Wednesday – Tasha McKelvey Handmade Clay Goodness

Hi friends.  So are you guys enjoying my Window Shopping Wednesday posts?  I’m only asking because I want to know if I should continue with them in 2013.  Let me know!

This weeks featured shop:  Tasha McKelvey Handmade Clay Goodness

This is the product that first attracted me to Tasha’s talent.  It’s called the Love Birds Bowl.  It comes in a variety of sizes and colors and I just think this would be so sweet as part of a wedding present (I’d fill it with edible goodies of some kind).

These Aqua Leaf Bobby Pins are fantastic – just enough classy + quirk for my taste.

I think this Wood Grain Tray (comes in several colors) would be really adorable in a bathroom as a place to put your rings while you wash your hands.  AND since it’s wood grain, I don’t even think many men out there would be sad to see this in their bathrooms.

These Feather Earrings are so versatile that you could easily dress them up or down.  I wear a lot of cardigan sets in the winter and I think these would be the perfect touch to go with them.  They come in several colors, but my favorite is white.

If you like to give beautifully crafted ornaments to your friends and family for Christmas you really should consider this Santa Claus Ornament.  What a beauty.

Thanks for shopping with me today!

Please support local or independent shops for your Christmas shopping this year.  You can find incredible goodies on sites like Etsy! (this is not a sponsored post)

Product Review: InPink

Months and months and months ago I purchased a Groupon or Living Social deal to a site called InPink.  Basically it was something like $80 worth of merchandise for $35 or $45.  I don’t remember exactly.

Anywho – I’m always down for what amounts to half off… especially when it comes to costume jewelry.  I have a lot but a girl can never have enough!

I purchased these beauties…

Light Turquoise Swimming Turtle Stretch Ring

Gray Natural Stone & Shell Earrings

Turquoise and Diamond Earrings (no longer available online)

So far I’ve only worn the turquoise earrings but I love them.  The turtle is sort of summery so I’m probably going to wait until next summer to bust him out.

Since purchasing this deal they’ve definitely expanded their selection and there are several more earrings that I would love to own.  I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for another InPink deal!

Have you ever shopped at InPink?  What would you buy?

P.S.  Their packaging is adorable.

Window Shopping Wednesday – SMA Factory

Hi friends.  I hope you’re excited for this weeks virtual shopping trip because I’ve got something good to show you.

If you haven’t been in a store like Michael’s, Joann’s, or Hobby Lobby recently you might have not realized it but guess what?  Christmas is just around the corner.  I know.  I can’t believe it either.  Wasn’t it JUST Christmas?

I am one of those people who likes to have all of their Christmas shopping and wrapping done before Thanksgiving – that way, I get to “relax” and enjoy the holidays with my family and friends (see “spend three weeks cooking and decorating”).

I found this nifty shop on Etsy (don’t you just LOVE this site?) that sells amazing jewelry and I think if you have a jewelry lover on your Christmas list you should seriously take a look.  Her stuff is reasonably priced ($15-$20) and she even boxes up her products in a super cute little box already ready for gifting!

This Autumn Leaves Pale Short Necklace would be great paired with a simple v-neck tee and jeans.

I L-O-V-E this Frosted Leaf Clay Ring!  If I didn’t have super chubby fingers I’d buy this for myself!

Ooh – and this Vintage Clock Ring?!?!? YUM!  Look at that scrolling!

EEK!  And there’s even a Vintage Clock Necklace to go with!  I’m dying over here!

These Colorful Tree Clay Earrings are just lovely.  These could easily be dressed up or down and could go with just about anything!

I mentioned the other week that I have a thing for ladybugs – you know these Petite Ladybug Ear Studs are right up my alley!

I also have a love for peacock (yes yes I know it’s all the rage right now, but I was a fan before it was the ‘in thing’).  This Peacock Feather Necklace is just great.

Thanks for shopping with me today.  What are some of your favorite Etsy finds?

My husband gave me a necklace. It’s fake. I requested fake. Maybe I’m paranoid, but in this day and age, I don’t want something around my neck that’s worth more than my head. ~ Rita Rudner

Ok… so remember the crazy busy weekend I told you about a few posts back?  Well, I thought I’d share with you something else that happened that weekend…

Sunday after we finished our landscape project and then took showers we were both EXHAUSTED.  It was only about 2:00 in the afternoon though so I didn’t want to waste the entire afternoon.  Instead, I got out my handy-dandy earring holder and added in some new earrings that have been sitting on my chest of drawers for about a month now.

We’ve all seen those cutesy earring holders that sell at places like Claire’s and Charming Charlie.  Those are great for people who have a few pairs of earrings.  They just don’t work though for people like myself who basically only wear earrings and have a LOT of costume pairs.  So, I created my own earring holder.  I took pre-stretched canvases (all the same size – 18” x 14”) that you can find at places like Hobby Lobby, Joann’s and Michaels, grabbed a razor blade, an ice pick and my earrings and went to work.  Here’s what I ended up with:

I didn’t hang them in any particular order because I basically know what earrings I have so I’m not all that worried about it.  You could sort them by length or style or color or basically just whatever suits your fancy.  What I like about this is that they’ll easily sit on the floor, or hang on the wall – whatever works for you.  And NO TANGLES!  Best of all, I can find whatever pair I’m looking for quickly!

I attempted to link up to a party this week to showcase this project.  Not sure if it worked but here’s where I linked up.

I also joined another party here:
